Applications for our 2025 Graduates and Summer Placements are now open!
Are you a Civil or Structural Engineering student with a keen interest in structures and the built environment around us?
We are looking for MEng graduates with sound technical ability, good communication skills, and a drive to learn, to join our welcoming and dynamic team in Autumn 2025.
Davies Maguire are a well-established Structural and Civil Engineering SME. We work with market-leading architects, developers and contractors and have been recognised for our innovative work. We have recently been shortlisted for NCE Best Place to Work Award 2023 and 2024 and winner of the British Construction Industry Awards 2024 for Salvation Army’s New Headquarters.
The role of a graduate in our team will see you working on a range of projects across different sectors. With support from our mentor system, you will develop your technical skills from day one. Graduates are actively involved in site visits, meetings, and collaboration with all members of the team, both internal and external, allowing you to fully understand every stage of the project, and quickly take responsibility for the structural design of a project from inception to completion.
We expect our graduate engineers to actively seek accreditation with either the ICE or IStructE and we provide a certified Training Scheme with both. Our welcoming, open-plan office ensures you have the support and guidance you need throughout, and promotes knowledge share from senior members of our diverse team. We make sure all graduates gain experience through a variety of projects, allowing you the best opportunities to develop as an aspiring engineer.
We also welcome second and third year students to join our office as summer placements.
Like graduates, placement students will work on real projects, and have the opportunity to attend site visits, meetings, and socials, alongside carrying out detailed design tasks and learning advanced analysis software.
Many of our placement students return to us for multiple years, and join us as permanent staff once they graduate. Around a third of our current staff began their journey with us as summer placement students.
To apply for either role, please send a Cover Letter and CV with contact details to Jane Powell at jpo@dmag.com.
